Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-18

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Client Posture (the "Service") provided by InfoDefenders, LLC ("we," "our," or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Client Posture provides passive external security assessments of domain names. Our assessments use publicly available information and do not involve penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or any intrusive security testing. Reports are point-in-time assessments and do not constitute comprehensive security audits.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

The Service performs only passive, non-intrusive external security assessments using publicly available information such as DNS records, certificate transparency logs, and normal HTTPS requests. You may use the Service to assess domains you own, manage, or are prospecting as part of legitimate business development activities.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Use the Service to conduct or enable active security testing, port scanning, vulnerability exploitation, penetration testing, or any intrusive testing without explicit authorization from the domain owner
  • Attempt to circumvent any security features of the Service
  • Use the Service to harm, harass, or defame any person or entity
  • Overload or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
  • Misrepresent scan results or use them to make false or misleading claims

5. Subscription and Payment

Some features of the Service require a paid plan. Subscription fees for Starter and Pro are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. Every new workspace receives an automatic 7-day Pro trial. No card is required, and we do not charge you when the trial ends. When the trial ends you are on Free. Your data is retained. You may upgrade to a paid plan at any time; checkout charges then. There is no auto-charge at the end of the trial. Annual plans are billed up front for the year and renew automatically each year unless cancelled. You can cancel or manage payment methods in the Stripe Customer Portal from Billing settings, or by emailing support@clientposture.com.

Refunds on subscription charges are discretionary except where required by law. Need an invoice or PO? Email support@clientposture.com.

Founding Partner. Founding Partner is a one-time purchase of Founding Partner entitlements (including the then-current Founding domain limit and the branding, rescan, alert, Security Brief, and MCP features described on the pricing page, excluding Fix it for $X quoting) for as long as Client Posture is commercially operated by InfoDefenders, LLC ("Founding Partner access"). It is not a perpetual license independent of the product's commercial operation, and it is not a refundable subscription. Founding Partners who later subscribe to the monthly Pro plan pay $299/mo instead of $399 for as long as that Pro subscription stays active. Seats are limited (50) and the offer closes on 2026-12-15 (or when seats are claimed, whichever comes first). If seats are exhausted before your payment can be fulfilled, we refund that payment. Marketing may describe this as Founding Partner access; it is not a perpetual license independent of commercial operation.

Plan domain limits are hard caps. We do not currently sell domain overages — when you reach your plan limit, you must upgrade or archive a domain to add another. Archived domains do not count toward the cap; existing reports and share links keep working.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Results will be accurate, complete, or reliable
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

Security assessments provided by the Service are not substitutes for comprehensive security audits or penetration testing by qualified security professionals.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, InfoDefenders, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

9. Termination

For free and subscription accounts, we may suspend or terminate access for Acceptable Use violations, non-payment, abuse, legal risk, or discontinuation of the Service, with or without prior notice as circumstances require.

For Founding Partner access specifically: we will not terminate your paid Founding Partner entitlement without cause while Client Posture remains commercially operated by InfoDefenders, LLC, except for Acceptable Use violations, fraud, chargebacks/payment disputes on the founding purchase, or legal/regulatory requirements. If we discontinue Client Posture entirely, Founding Partner access ends with the product (see §5). Upon any permitted termination, your right to use the Service ceases.

10. MSP proposals and client agreements

Client Posture lets MSPs prepare and share security-improvement proposals with their own clients. MSPs are solely responsible for their proposals, prices, terms, and any resulting agreement. Client Posture provides the software used to prepare a proposal and is not a party to the MSP–client agreement. We do not process the MSP's payments; after acceptance we only show a payment link the MSP configured. Acceptance records (typed name, email, IP address, user agent, and timestamp) are stored on behalf of the MSP as evidence that the proposal was accepted.

11. AI assistants

Client Posture can connect to AI assistants you choose (for example Cursor, VS Code, Claude, or ChatGPT) through an API key you create. Client Posture hosts no large language model and does not run inference on your data. When your assistant calls our tools, the returned data is sent to the AI provider you selected, under that provider's account and terms. You are responsible for that provider's handling of the data, for the assistant's outputs, and for reviewing any drafts before they are sent to a client. We are not responsible for model outputs or for your AI vendor.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
